How Well Do You Know Asheville’s Buildings? A Quiz With Up To $30 worth of prizes!

The North Carolina Room is currently exhibiting photographs from the Richard Hansley Photograph Collection. Mr. Hansley is the author of Asheville’s Historic Architecture, 2011. In 2014 Richard donated his entire photograph collection to the North Carolina Room. His love and enthusiasm of architecture shows in every photograph. We decided to use Mr. Hansley’s photos of details of buildings and make a quiz out of it.

The first two people who come to the North Carolina Room with 11 correct answers will receive one free high res. scan from the North Carolina Room’s Photograph Collection (worth $5.00) and one pack of five cards of historical Asheville buildings drawn by librarian/artist Margaret Dahm (worth $10.00). If you answer the bonus building number 12, you will receive an additional free high res. scan of your choice.

I think you mean “prizes” not “prices”.

Dear Francis, I wanted to thank you for playing our quiz on naming Asheville buildings. You were the first to give it a try and you got quite a few correct. We’d like to give you a box of our cards (set of 5) of Asheville buildings for replying. So stop by and pick it up when you can. Zoe Rhine
